Methodology

How the radar is scored

Each institution in the SftS catalogue is scored across the three themes using cumulative signal importance, recency weighting, and stage mix (Structural vs Material vs Exploratory) across the last 12 months. Peer group averages are computed across all institutions in that category.

Signal breadth

Number of distinct signals across each theme — shows commitment and activity level relative to peers.

Importance depth

Cumulative importance-weighted score per theme — prioritizes Structural and high-materiality signals over noise.

Recency

Recent signals (last 90 days) carry higher weight — distinguishes active institutions from legacy positioners.
